Fight Day

On September 21st, 2024, 96,000 fans packed Wembley Stadium to witness a heavyweight championship fight. This video aims to showcase the marketing efforts and the transformation of Wembley, along with the fan community’s presence. From billboards to merchandise, areas had been rebranded to spotlight a single fighter.

The Video Creation & Location

To depict the transformation of Wembley in my video, I employed various post-editing techniques, including match cuts and split screens. These tools helped create a seamless flow and dynamic energy, aligning with the excitement of attending a large-scale event.

I focused on capturing key moments that evoke excitement, such as purchasing event merchandise like a scarf, walking up to the stadium, and seeing billboards promoting the event.

These elements were presented as a domino effect, building anticipation and drawing the audience into the exhilarating journey of attending an event.

In post-production, I emphasized the project’s signature colours of red and blue by intensifying their saturation. Reinforcing the event's branding and marketing palette.

Fast-paced match cuts were used to highlight the immense crowds and electrifying atmosphere, amplifying the sense of scale and energy. The soundtrack featured a fan-favourite song that I experienced being sung by the crowd inside the stadium, further immersing the audience in the event’s spirit.
